	Welcome to Tim Smith Fireplaces and Stonemasonry.     About Tim Smith "Before"   "After"   Tim Smith has been a stone mason for over 20 years. Having studied at the central London City and Guilds College, he was apprenticed at a traditional stonemasonry company where he was taught the skills and practices handed down over the generations. He has worked on many well-known buildings, including the Houses of Parliment and Westminster Abbey. He has worked for many leading designers, such as Colefax and Fowler, Jane Churchill, Jonathan Reed, and Chester Jones- to name a few. The Product At Tim Smith Fireplaces and Stonemasonry, we have now gathered a team of like-minded individuals who believe that in an age of commercialism, craftsmanship need not suffer. All our products are made on commission only basis. This means that, unlike imported and mass-produced stonework, the finished article is unique and tailor-made to the customer's requirements. This could be anything from an intricately carved stone fireplace to a set of moulded steps. We also manufacture marble, granite and slate. We endeavour to use, wherever possible, locally quarried materials to enhance the valuable traditions of stonework in this country. Apart from high standards in the workshop, we also stress the importance of an honest relationship with the customer. We believe in integrity and will never try to sell a product that is unsuitable. Also, once an order has been made and programme agreed, we will adhere to the timetable. We pride ourselves on punctuality.
